A lovely pair of hanging?gold earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring is hand crafted in?15kt yellow gold (indicating English origin) and is beautifully decorated?with fine?Etruscan wirework and beadwork. The 3-dimensional design is comprised of a hollow gold ball that hangs below an open bell. A delicate gold spear dangles freely from the bottom. At the top is a small hand-shaped surmount attached to a simple earring wire. Very light and comfortable to wear, the earrings frame the face beautifully when worn and would make a special addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs?approximately 1 7/8" long and measures 1/2" at the?widest and thickest point.
Condition:?The earrings have some signs of surface wear and minor damage due to age, but remain in wearable condition. There are a few very tiny?dings and dents to the gold surface, and a small puncture on the back of one earring. Fortunately, this is not noticeable when worn, and does not detract from the beauty and character of the antique design.?
